The James Webb Space Telescope
(in two halves)
by Dr Nick Stapley
Wednesday 10th September
at our premises in Duke Street Church - entrance in Quadrant Road
The JWST is a marvel of modern engineering. The first half of the talk will look at the telescope itself, the instruments on board, and the engineering aspects of the telescope. The second half will look at some of the incredible results it has produced especially with regard to our understanding of the big bang. There will also be a number of 'astronomical interludes' on topics of general astrophysical interest that are peripheral to the JWST
Venue
We meet at Duke Street Church, Quadrant Rd, Richmond TW9 1DH
(intersection of Duke Street with Quadrant Rd)
